On 27^th February, at the Center of Medical Innovation and Translational Research, “The 6^th　Global Clinical Trial Development Project ・Japan Consortium of Clinical Research Core Hospital (J-CCRC)” meeting was held through an online system. This was originally planned to hold in conjunction with “4^th Advanced and Planning Symposium” at Hotel Elserein Osaka. Unfortunately our global symposium was cancelled and J-CCRC was forced to change the venues to our hospital, due to 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) infectious issues.

At the beginning, Dr. Kenichi NAKAMURA from National Cancer Center Hospital (NCC) introduced “NCC-Perspective of International Collaboration”, and from our hospital Dr. Chisa TABATA shared little information on “Activities about SPARK Asia”, then “Future perspective from our point of view” was shared.

Despite the irregular meeting, nine core hospitals and Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED) participated.

The online meeting with multiple institutions was our first challenge, so we asked for advanced request for the connection test and standby to prevent any unexpected telecommunication accident . With your kind cooperation, we made the first online meeting success without major communication problems.

The next 7th J-CCRC will be scheduled in September 2020. We would like to continue working to make another great, meaningful and fruitful meeting.
